About David

The man behind the helmet.

David has been a motorcycle enthusiast all his life and had always dreamed of one day taking to the track to race himself.
He took to the roads on his first motorcycle in 1987 and his love for bikes has continued to grow ever since. Sadly, after the tragic and sudden loss of David’s best friend and riding partner, Philip, in 2010 David stopped riding altogether and went on to sell his motorcycle.
Noticing an emptiness in David’s life his partner Emma decided it was time to rekindle David’s passion which led to the discussion of getting back on a motorcycle this time not to ride casually but to fulfill his lifelong dream of racing motorcycles on the track.
In 2011 David purchased his first racing motorcycle which was a 2003 Kawasaki ZX636 and made his debut at Darley Moor Race Circuit later that year.

David’s 2017 racing season started promisingly, after unfortunately qualifying in 22nd place due to teething problems on his new race bike, David managed to work his way though the pack to bag himself a well fought 4th place finish!

The latest upgrade is a 2012 Kawasaki ZX-6R which will hopefully see David on the podium throughout the 2017 racing season.

Why sponsors are needed

As with all forms of Motorsport, motorcycle racing is a very expensive sport to try and maintain alone without the help of sponsors, so David is continually on the lookout for new sponsors. If you would like to become part of the David Shallcross Racing Team or make a one off sponsor where anything and everything is welcomed and massively appreciated, go ahead and click the link...
